Jennifer Lopez believes all men under the age of 33 are useless, but is she right or just not thinking straight?
In an episode of Tinder’s Swipe Sessions series, one in which she helps 29-year-old country singer Brook find a match on the dating app, the diva swiped left on a man purely because he was 29.
Brooke desired a guy who can “chop wood”, but a cut-throat J-Lo was wanted none of it. As soon as the guy’s profile popped up, she boldly stated that “Guys, until they’re 33, are really useless.”
That, of course, begs the question: is she right? Well, at least one expert thinks she might be spot on.
Speaking to Business Insider, New York-based relationship expert Dr. Jane Greer stated that Lopez has a point if commitment is what someone is looking for:
“It can take men into their early 30s to establish their professional career and feel a sense of financial stability, which helps them feel more secure in life. As a result, this can give them the maturity that comes with accomplishment, experience, and success.
J-Lo, who is approaching 50, has a history of dating men notably younger than her, so this could be her speaking from experience. Rumors claimed she date Drake when he was 30 and she was 47, so that supposedly puts him in the “useless” category.
Too Manly’s Take
The sad truth is that there are many young men doing nothing meaningful with their lives, instead wasting their precious time and energy on chasing women. Then there are those men who are ambitious, know what they want in life, have set goals, and spend every hour of their waking lives chasing those goals.
Contrary to what Jennifer Lopez might think, not all men are useless before the age of 33. Ask yourself, which one are you?
