Real Life Robots Are Now Doing Backflips

Real Robot doing backflip

In case you didn’t know, Boston Dynamics has been working on a realistically mobile robot that, frankly, sends chills down our spines every time we see it. Well — guess what? — it can now do backflips and other gymnastics moves as if it’s already Tokyo 2020.

The Atlas, as it is known by, is shown hopping up straight and stabilizing itself on a platform, jumping while turning 180 degrees, and performing a back flip. Its movements are so fluid and realistic as to be creepy.

They sure do grow up very fast, don’t they? Cool yet frightening…
