What’s new at Three Rivers Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge? Good question, Billy! All the 2017 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles are new or updated and just waiting to be checked out by you, your family and friends.
The Chrysler 200 and 300, along with the Pacifica minivan and Pacifica Hybrid, are looking good (again) this year, and so are the Dodge muscle cars — the Dodge Challenger Coupe and the Dodge Charger Sedan. If you’re looking for an ace SUV, then Three Rivers has the Dodge Durango, the Dodge Journey and — don’t forget — the legendary Dodge Grand Caravan Van.
Jeeps? Did someone say Jeep? Well, if you did, then you’ve come to the right place. The best off-road four-wheel drive vehicles in the world are at Three Rivers. From the 2017 Jeep Patriot to the Jeep Grand Cherokee, they’re all here.
Now, speaking of muscle cars… we were speaking of them, right? Okay, then. We were looking at the Dodge Challenger the other day at Three Rivers and, yes, we were quite impressed. We even took one for a test drive and that, of course, blew us away. Sure, we were knocked out by the comfort and convenience of the cabin and also by the user-friendly controls and the infotainment center. We were also pleasantly surprised by the smooth ride the 8-speed automatic transmission provided and the responsiveness of the brakes.
We know we’ve been pussy-footing around and not getting to the real meat and potatoes of this true muscle car so we had better talk about how it handles and the speed of this deliciously beautiful example of what a genuine muscle car should and can be. The 2017 Dodge Challenger was just as impressive as we had hoped it would be. The handling was not only smooth, but it was incredibly silky. When turning a corner or changing lanes this beauty felt as if it was doing it on its own — as if we only had to think about the turn before hand.
Getting out of tight spots in a hurry was kid’s play. That is, it was as simple and quick as a video game. The whole operation of the car was magical. Driving and not speeding was a real challenge for us in this legendary fast car.
Considering we were behind the wheel of the tire-melting Hellcat — the fastest, most powerful Challenger there is — we knew that it could reach 60 mph from a dead stop in 3.6 seconds, making it one of the fastest cars in the country – in any country. Knowing that, however, made us just that much more aware of what we were doing, so we kept the car at posted speed limit speeds and, as a result, didn’t get one ticket. You can see all of Three Rivers’ inventory by stopping by in person or checking out their website.
Have any of you had the change to try out a Dodge Challenger, let alone the high-octane Hellcat? If so, share your experience in the comments below.
