electric-car fastest in world

The Bugatti Veyron is still the world’s fastest production car, but even it can’t hold a candle to the E0711-6 electric ca, a speed demon built by a team of Stuttgart University students.

The Veyron can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in around 2.5 seconds, but the E0711-6 can complete the sprint in a neck-breaking 1.8 seconds, having set a new Guinness World Record in a blistering 1.779 second run.

With a monstrous 1200 Nm (885 pound-feet) of instant torque flowing to all four wheels, it broke the previous record of 1.785 seconds by 0.006 of a second, which — although not much — is quite the accomplishment.
