Guy Makes Ukulele Flamethrower Inspired By ‘Mad Max’ Movie

Ukelele Flamethrower, Mad Max

The flamethrower guitar in the new ‘Mad Max’ movie was apparently so cool that one guy took it upon himself to make one of his own. However, instead of guitar, he used a Ukulele.

In Max Max: Fury Road, the Coma-Doof Warrior was bungee-strapped to the front of a massive boombox on wheels and wielded a flamethrower guitar that any arsonist musician would love to own. Now, we don’t think DIY enthusiast and Make editor Caleb Kraft is an arsonist, but he built a ukulele version of the epic weapon from scratch and it looks downright awesome.

Kraft described the vision behind the new toy as follows:

“I didn’t want to try to replicate exactly what he had, and I also wanted to scale things down to be marginally safer. My version can be built from hardware store parts in a very short amount of time.”

Surprisingly, it doesn’t take much to make one yourself. All you need are zip ties, electrical tape, a caulking gun, a butane canister and, of course, a ukulele.
