Snoop Dogg actually believes Game Of Thrones — the show with big dragons and magic – is based on real history.
Like me, the famous rapper loves the show very much and (unlike me) even contributed the track ‘Lannister’s Anthem’ to the Game of Thrones: Catch the Throne Vol. 2 mixtape. However, judging by some of his comments, he seems to think the fantasy show is based on real life events.
In an interview with the New York Post, he said:
“I watch it for historic reasons, to try to understand what this world was based on before I got here. I like to know how we got from there, to here, and the similarities between then and now.”
Now, granted Snoop is usually high as a kite, he’s actually a pretty smart guy. Maybe he was referring to how Game of Throne’s social issues like class division, slavery, lawlessness, etc. were accurate to the set period.
Either way, the interviewer clearly didn’t have the heart to tell him that dragons and zombies with freezing powers never existed. He probed a little further, asking Snoop what parallels he drew between the show and the real world.
“That kings still rule and a bitch f*cked everything up, in every situation!”
The man is deep… did he have too much to smoke or is he fooling around? We’re surprised he hasn’t changed his name to Snoop Dragon…
