Church of bacon

Believe it or not, but there is actually a Church of Bacon, and as an agnostic, I am tempted to join it.

Founded in Las Vegas (surprise, surprise) by atheists in response to discrimination against non-believers (see website), the proud church and its sizzling celebrants are under attack by the bank Wells Fargo for supposedly refusing to sign church documents, as well as by spoilsports and busybodies.

We wonder how many of those infidels are vegetarians… I mean, who in their right mind would disrespect bacon?

Frustrated, founder John Whiteside said:

“We’re not immoral. We’re not un-American. That’s what we’re trying to get corrected.

We enjoy people mocking us. We mock ourselves. This isn’t supposed to offend anyone.”

You know what, I think I will join the Church of Bacon. Now, excuse me as I go to the kitchen and make bacon pray. Have You Tried Bacon-Fried Oreos?
