For the manly men that like to flaunt it, the all-new Aston Martin Lagonda has your name written all over it. But in order to own one, two conditions must be met: 1) You must live in the Middle East; 2) You must be filthy rich.
Developed by Aston Martin’s “Q” special project division exclusively for the Middle East, the new Lagonda is a throwback to the original Lagonda of the 80s, featuring an angular design with a sleek, modern twist. It oozes style and exclusivity.
Although not revealed, the interior is expected to have all the luxury features and accouterments befitting of a king.
The Lagonda rides on the same platform as the Rapide sedan and is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces approximately 600 horsepower, sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission that should allow it to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in around 4.2 seconds.
The new Aston Martin Lagonda will be a very rare breed, even by Aston Martin standards. In addition to being exclusively for the Middle East, the large British sedan will be offered to prospective buyers by “invitation only,” with an asking price that will be “commensurate with the car’s exclusivity, quality and luxurious nature.” In other words, the only people you will seeing riding in this impeccably-styled, ultra-luxurious British sedan are Arab Sheikhs, billionaires and their family.
