The age-old debate about who is better — Batman or Superman — will persist for years to come, but one thing is for sure and that is Batman undoubtedly has the better video games.
While unsuspecting gamers of all stripes are forever mentally-scarred by the shockingly-bad Superman 64, Batman has reached new heights with the Arkham series, of which the latest addition is Batman: Arkham Knight. Judging by the gameplay footage shown below, it will be one hell of an action-adventure.
The game’s core storyline is set one year after the events of 2011’s Batman: Arkham City and follows Batman, at the peak of his ability, as he confronts the supervillain Scarecrow, who has returned to Gotham City to unite and galvanize Batman’s enemies in a plot to finally put an end to the Dark Knight
Building on already strong gameplay fundamentals from the previous Arkham games, Arkham Knight introduces a host of new mechanics, such as the use of the Batmoible for navigation and combat. Gotham is approximately five times larger than the open-air Arkham City prison in Arkham City.
